Sigiriya & the Cultural Triangle
Climb the 200-metre Lion Rock fortress and explore the ancient cities of Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle.
About Sigiriya & the Cultural Triangle
The Cultural Triangle is Sri Lanka’s ancient heartland, and Sigiriya is its crown jewel — a 5th-century palace built atop a 200-metre column of rock, ringed by water gardens and frescoes of celestial maidens. Around it lie Dambulla’s cave temples and the ruined royal capitals of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa.
