Barcelona rewards timed tickets and a slow walk, not a third identikit rooftop. One basilica morning, one Park Güell slot, and an evening in Gràcia is the trip most people actually remember.

Visit the Sagrada Família

Book official tickets with a timed entry. The audio guide and a tower (when available) earn the extra. The Nativity Façade is the completed story in stone; the interior light is the reason to go inside, not only photograph the spires from the street.

Walk Park Güell

The mosaic salamander, the colonnade, and the terrace view over the city. Timed tickets in peak season. Combine with the Eixample, not with a same-morning Sagrada climb — both need unhurried hours.

Wander the Eixample

Casa Batlló and Casa Milà (La Pedrera) sit on the same grid as countless lesser façades. You do not need every interior ticket. Walking Passeig de Gràcia is half the point.

Gothic Quarter after the tickets

The cathedral, hidden squares, and lanes that still feel medieval one block off the souvenir strip. Go early or after dinner. Midday is a crush.

Skip treating Las Ramblas as the city

Walk it once if you must. Eat and sleep elsewhere. Gràcia, El Born, and the Eixample are where Barcelona still feels lived in.
